Shoreham-Wading River Community Programs, through its after-school educational programs, promotes creative expression, choice of recreational activities, and intellectual curiosity. All programs are designed to be self-funded through participant fees, donations, grants and volunteers. The programs are not supported through taxation. All of our expenses, including salaries, are paid from revenues generated from within the programs.

Activities are offered to adults as well. We sponsor the 4th of July and Thanksgiving Day foot races with all of the proceeds funding the Community Programs Scholarship Program.

Community Education provides a wide variety of classes throughout the year to promote a community of life-long learning. Courses include academics, fine arts, leisure, sports and fitness, and music and dance activities.

High School students may enroll in our Driver Education Program offered throughout the year. Students much reach their 16th birthday by the start of the program. Programs begin in September and February.
