As part of their illustrious high school athletic careers, seven Shoreham-Wading River High School seniors have each signed a National Letter of Intent on Nov. 13.
Haylie Abrams will attend the University of Colorado, Reese Marcario will join the freshman class at the University of Pittsburgh, Morgan Lesiewicz is headed for Lehigh University, Grayce Kitchen will attend the University of Louisville, Charlotte Erb is headed to Coastal Carolina University and Ava Weingartner will attend Mercy University. These six student athletes will play for their respective college’s lacrosse team. Senior Emily Herr will join the swim team at Villanova University.
The signing ceremony, attended by students, family members, coaches, Superintendent of Schools Mr. Gerard Poole and hosted by Director of Athletics, Physical Education and Health Mr. Eric Bramoff, was a preview of the Shoreham-Wading River’s Senior Athlete Collegiate Commitment Ceremony slated for Monday, May 19, 2025, at 6 p.m. in the High School gym lobby. This planned special event will celebrate SWR graduating seniors who have committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level across all divisions.
“We are honored to have these seven students represent our school district as they go forward in their athletic and academic goals,” Mr. Bramoff said. “We commend their families and coaches for their support during their high school years and further encouragement as they move on to the next levels of athletic achievement. We also look forward to honoring the accomplishments of other Wildcats and sharing their collegiate commitment milestone with family, friends and the Shoreham-Wading River community.”
For students who would like to participate in the May 2025 ceremony, please email Mr. Bramoff at ebramoff@swr.k12.ny.us by May 12, 2025.
