Secondary Curriculum Guide
All students must successfully complete 4 years of English including English 9, 10, and 11. In grade 12, students can take one of the many English electives. All students must take and pass the English Language Arts Regents Examination that is administered during the junior year. Students with a special interest in English may wish to take additional credits in English.

- English 12: Contemporary Issues in Literature (Sport)
- English 12: Mythology: Unravel the Meaning
- English 12: Reflections on Literature in Society (Film)
- English 12: AP English Literature & Composition (Advanced Placement/SUNY ACE course)
- English 12: AP Seminar (Advanced Placement/SCC course)
- English 12: AP Research (Advanced Placement/SCC course)
GENERAL ENGLISH ELECTIVES:
- Journalism in the Digital Age 1, 2 and 3 (SUNY ACE course)
- Creative Writing 1 and 2
- Speaking with Impact (SUNY ACE course)
- Theater 1 and Advanced Theatre (Communication Arts)
