High School Musicians Spread Cheer Through Music

It is a busy time of the year for the High School student-musicians with concerts and end-of-year academic work. However, these philanthropic musicians still found the time to spread cheer throughout the Long Island community during the month of December.
Earlier this month, the school’s Orpheus Ensemble and singers from Vocal Express performed holiday music at the annual Wading River Historical Society Holiday Tea, held at the Wading River Congregational Church. Members of the Tri-M Music Honor Society also volunteered to organize and run the event.
Additionally, Tri-M Music Honor Society members visited the Long Island State Veterans Home in Stony Brook, the Little Flower School in Wading River, and AHRC in Shoreham to spread cheer and perform holiday music for the residents and students.
Music teacher Ashley O’Connor said, “I am extremely proud of the students for their hard work and generosity during this busy time of year.”
