Prodell Middle School Students Compete at MoMath Math Competition

Ten of Albert G. Prodell Middle School’s top student-mathematicians represented the Shoreham-Wading River Central School District in the MoMath Competition, held on March 10 at Brookhaven National Laboratory and sponsored by the National Museum of Mathematics. Sophia Bianco, Gavin Ciliento, Giavanna DeBono, Xinyao Gan, Cooper Hochmuth, Ailie Korsakas, Annabelle Kustin, Callum Leonard, Camden Rowett and Griffin Schwartz represented the school with enthusiasm and determination and were accompanied by teachers Sara Diehl and Lynn Losquadro.
During the annual MoMath Competition, students from schools across Long Island challenged their mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills through a series of rigorous team and individual events. While the team did not place in this year’s competition, the students demonstrated strong perseverance, teamwork and a positive attitude throughout the day.
Albert G. Prodell Middle School is proud of these students for their hard work and dedication. Their participation in this challenging event reflects their commitment to learning, problem-solving, and representing their school with pride.
