Superior skills earn students top honors

Shoreham-Wading River High School students Quinn Burke and Logan Jung demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication at this year’s SkillsUSA Regional Competition, delivering standout performances against top competitors from across Long Island.
Facing a series of rigorous, skills-based challenges, participants were required to showcase not only their technical knowledge but also professionalism, precision and the ability to perform under pressure. Through disciplined preparation, consistent practice and a strong commitment to their respective trades, the students rose to the occasion—earning dozens of well-deserved medals across a wide range of competition categories. Quinn and Logan both came in first place in the audio production category.
The SkillsUSA Regional Competition is judged by industry professionals, ensuring that each participant is evaluated against real-world standards. Success at this level reflects more than competitive achievement; it demonstrates that these students are both classroom ready and career ready.
