‘Wild About Reading’ Mosaic Unveiled

Wading River School recently celebrated the completion of a special collaborative project, “Wild About Reading,” with a dedication ceremony in the school’s library courtyard.
The colorful mosaic installation was created through a partnership with Artist in Residence Joshua Winer. It transformed the library courtyard into a vibrant outdoor space that celebrates creativity, literacy and school pride.
As part of the process, students were invited to submit original animal drawings inspired by the project’s theme. Several student designs were selected to be featured in the final mosaic, giving young artists the opportunity to see their artwork become a permanent part of the school community.
Wading River School students and staff came together for a special celebration to mark the completion of the project and thank everyone who helped bring it to life.
