Students Take Centerstage in ‘Madagascar’

On Aug. 6, high school students brought the story of “Madagascar” to life during a summer performance that showcased their talent and hard work.

Students worked for weeks preparing for their time on stage – they learned songs and lines, practiced choreography and spent hours working together to bring the production together. Through rehearsals, students developed their performance skills while learning the importance of collaboration, perseverance and supporting one another.

Their hard work paid off as the high school auditorium filled with family members, friends and community members who came out to cheer on the performers. The audience even included students from the Sachem Central School District, who traveled to Shoreham-Wading River to enjoy the production and support the student performers.

From energetic musical numbers to memorable characters, the students embraced their roles and gave the audience a performance filled with enthusiasm and creativity.

The production provided students with an opportunity to celebrate creativity, inclusivity and teamwork while sharing their talents with others. Each student had the chance to shine, contributing to a production that was truly a team effort.
