Costumes, Creativity and Classroom Fun

Miller Avenue School students got into the Halloween spirit with a festive day of costumes, creativity and hands-on activities on Oct. 30. Students dressed up in their Halloween costumes and proudly marched outside the building during the school’s annual Halloween parade.
Following the parade, students in Ms. Burke’s class continued the fun with a variety of Halloween-themed activity centers. From a candy corn science experiment and Halloween math station to Halloween bingo and egg carton ghost frames, students enjoyed opportunities to learn and create through seasonal activities. Students also decorated gold pumpkins to help raise awareness for pediatric cancer, adding a meaningful touch to the day’s celebrations.
Earlier this month, students in Ms. Burke’s class put their creativity on display by transforming pumpkins into characters from their favorite books, combining a love of reading with Halloween fun.
