Creating a Culture of Awareness and Acceptance

The Autism Acceptance Fair at Wading River School was a meaningful and engaging event organized by Ms. Marin and Mrs. Kranidis’ class. With the help of dedicated parent and teacher volunteers, the fair created a welcoming space where students and staff could learn more about autism in a positive and supportive environment.
Volunteers shared their personal experiences and knowledge, helping to build understanding and encourage open conversations about what it means to be inclusive and accepting of differences.
The event brought the entire school community together to celebrate and support students with autism. Through thoughtful activities and discussions, it highlighted the importance of kindness, empathy and acceptance. The fair was not only educational, but also inspiring, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who attended. It truly was an amazing opportunity for the school to come together and celebrate their friends with autism in a meaningful way.
