The Board conducted a walkthrough at the High School.
Three of this year's Ex-Officio Student Trustees - Madison Cummings, Ella Frazzetto, and Isabelle Scherl - introduced themselves and supplied updates on High School happenings, sports, and upcoming events.
In his Superintendent's Report, Mr. Poole highlighted some of the many events, activities, and accomplishments taking place throughout the District and specific to each building.
Student, Kate McQuade performed a beautiful solo rendition of O del Mio Dolce Ardor.
Assistant Principal Mr. Ackerman introduced student officers from HS Student Government - Everett McClintock, Ashley Miltz, and Emily Martinez - who shared developments for gaining additional involvement in their organization and discussed the success of the Homecoming and Patriots game.
Principal Mr. Pugliese provided the principal's update on the HS including the personal internet device policy, physical education classes, 9th grade required courses, Schoollinks, Multimedia Production Studio, Club Fair, and Extra Help/ASC.
Mr. Arcuri gave an update on the HS gymnasium renovation.
Department Directors Ms. Waldbauer and Dr. Paolicelli presented Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment goals for Humanities and STEM. Mr. Meinster completed the presentation speaking about plans for other area goals. Click here for presentation.
The Board approved, among other things, a Connect Kids Grant, an Amazing Hero Art Consultant contract, and Propio Language contract.
