More About The Expert
Anaximenes Gonzalez, MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and nursing leader with more than a decade of experience in acute and community mental health. He serves as Assistant Director of Nursing for the Inpatient Child Psychiatric Unit at Stony Brook Medicine, where he oversees pediatric care.
He began his career at Pilgrim Psychiatric Center and has worked across emergency, inpatient and substance use settings. In addition to his leadership role, he maintains a part-time clinical practice and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
