Capital Work

Dear SWR Families,
 
I hope everyone has been having a wonderful summer. We have been managing several important summer capital work projects, and I wanted to provide you an update.

Turf Field & Track
The renovation of the turf field and track, originally scheduled for completion by September 11th, is now anticipated to be completed the week of September 21st, with track completion the week ofSeptember 28th.    

To ensure all fall student-athletes experience seamless practices and competition during the renovation, we are establishing a comprehensive alternative schedule. Teams will utilize our campus grass fields for regular practices and select home contests, supplemented by facility permits through the Town of Brookhaven. In collaboration with our Varsity Head Coaches, we are also partnering with neighboring school districts to hold games on their turf fields. A detailed schedule with specific practice and game locations will be shared directly to our student-athletes and their parents by our coaches and the Athletic Department.

Prodell Middle School Classroom Renovations
Renovations of science classrooms and the RISE classroom are expected to be substantially complete this week.

Parking Lot Sealing and Restriping
Middle School and Wading River parking lot sealing and striping have been completed, with Miller Avenue parking lot work scheduled for this week.

Wading River Window and Door Replacement
All the scheduled preparatory work for the Wading River window and door project has been completed. As planned, the windows and doors will be installed during after-hours and over scheduled breaks during the fall.
