Before graduating from Shoreham-Wading River High School on June 27, seniors Haylie Abrams and Patrick Shea have one more accolade to take with them as they head off to the University of Colorado and the University of Michigan, respectively, in the fall. They were each honored as nominees for the 23rd annual Butch Dellecave Awards. 

This prestigious award honors the top Suffolk County male and female graduating seniors who excel in athletics, academics and community service. The awards are named for Butch Dellecave, who served as an educator for three decades in the Connetquot School District, was a sports official in Suffolk County for nearly 20 years and founded the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame in 1990.
