Shoreham-Wading River High School junior Liam McQuade was honored at the May 28 Board of Education meeting.

Liam applied for a grant from WHAM – Wildcats Helping the Arts and Music – and was honored by Collette Grosso, president of WHAM. Liam will take part in the World Youth Wind Orchestra and work alongside internationally renowned conductors, composers and soloists during an intense musical week in Germany this summer.

The World Youth Wind Orchestra works to unite players through the global language of music and brings together musicians from around the world to perform wind ensemble repertoire at the highest level.
