Dear Families,
As summer begins, we are excited to share helpful and fun resources from all four schools to keep your child reading all season long! Developing strong reading habits early is key to lifelong learning, and summer is the perfect time to nurture a love for books.
Research shows that children who don’t read over the summer can lose up to three months of reading progress. In fact, a study by the National Summer Learning Association highlights that consistent reading during the summer helps prevent the “summer slide” and supports continued academic growth, especially in early readers.
Here are a variety of engaging book suggestions, online tools and local library programs that will help keep your child excited about reading throughout the break!
We hope you’ll explore these resources together and make reading a fun part of your summer routine.
Happy Reading!
Warm regards,
