Three Shoreham-Wading River High School seniors were selected to represent their peers at Board of Education meetings during the 2024-25 school year. Nicholas Dean and Katelyn Roberts began their new roles at the Sept. 10 BOE meeting, where they took the oath of office presented by District Clerk Stephanie Mahoney. Student Jocelyn Nastasi will be sworn in at the next Board of Education meeting.

Nicholas and Katelyn each spoke of the happenings at the high school as well as activities and plans for the next few weeks. The ex-officio student school board members will attend Board of Education meetings to share the many academic opportunities, extra-curricular activities and events going on at Shoreham-Wading River High School.

The Shoreham-Wading River School District takes pride in having students participate in this leadership role and having a positive impact on their school community.
