Miller Avenue School kindergarten students in Courtney VonBargen’s class have some great buddies in Melissa Levonick and Nicole Collins’ fifth grade class at Wading River School.

The students have written back and forth to each other and met virtually on Google Meet. The younger students practiced addressing Valentine’s cards to their buddies and their buddies sent beautiful Valentine’s Day cards back along with plastic, funky heart glasses. The students picked matching colors for them and their buddies.

“We surprised them with a Google Meet on Valentine’s Day where they got to see their buddies in their glasses and spread the Valentine’s Day love!” Mrs. Von Bargen said.
