Thanks to Miller Avenue School Student Council members Audrianna Donofrio, Eleanor Klein, Olivia Matranga, Susanna McHale, Winifred Whiston and Benjamin Yannucci for highlighting some of the wonderful community activities and service projects they have conducted this year at the May 28 Board of Education meeting.

Under the leadership of advisers Cara Behrens and Alison Quenzer, the students have been developing leadership and organizational skills by beautifying the school with a birdhouse building project and conducting a rock painting project to spread kindness, hosting a Veterans Day parade through the school hallways, collecting toys for children and creating cards for senior citizens during the holidays season, helping animals in need with their Save A Pet campaign and celebrating where we live during Earth Day festivities.
