Nationally recognized motivational speaker Rohan Murphy visited Prodell Middle School to share his life story with eighth grade students. Murphy lost both of his legs at birth, but that did not stop him from chasing after his dreams. After a successful high school wrestling career, he went on to wrestle at Penn State University. He is also an accomplished powerlifter, competing in competitions all over the world. Aside from all these accomplishments, one of his main goals is to motivate the youth of America through his words and actions.
According to his bio, Murphy’s life story is a “gripping tale of adversity, dedication, and living life with a purpose.”
“I’m so grateful that our students got the chance to meet him and hear his message of living life with “no excuses,” said Assistant Principal Lauren Biscardi. “He truly is a force to be reckoned with and we look forward to having him back next year.”
