Five students from Albert G. Prodell Middle School were selected to perform in the Intermediate Long Island String Festival in late January. Working under the musical leadership of Mr. Fred Volz, they are sixth grader Sophia Tishchenko, seventh graders Ailie Korsakas, Owen Schwartz and Alexis Yau and eighth grader Zachary Lister.

The talented students were selected along with others from across Suffolk County on a competitive basis, with New York State School Music Association scores as the main criteria along with teacher recommendations.
