Shoreham-Wading River High School student ex-officio Board of Education members (from left) Katelyn Roberts, Jocelyn Nastasi and Nicholas Dean joined SWR Board of Education and community members as well as hundreds of attendees from school districts across Suffolk County at the 21st Annual Longwood Legislative Breakfast on Feb. 1.

The event was an opportunity to engage in significant discussions and share key issues about public education in Suffolk County with local legislators.

In addition to these three seniors, the SWRSD thanks administrators Glen Arcuri (Assistant Superintendent for Finance & Operations), Brian Heyward (Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources), Louis Parrinello, (Wading River School Principal), Gerard Poole (Superintendent of Schools), Claudia Smith (Miller Avenue School Principal); Board of Education members Henry Perez (Trustee), Tom Sheridan (President), James Smith (Vice President); and community members Gina Bettenhauser, Melissa Brandt, Lori Goldstein, Erin Marsalisi, Daniel Montalto, Mike Sanchez, Erin Saunders-Morano and Jessie Sidewitz-Byrne for their ongoing commitment as members of the SWR Legislative Committee.
