The two Shoreham-Wading River High School robotics teams qualified for the Vex V5 High Stakes Southern New York State championships held at John F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore on March 15.

This is the first time both teams have qualified for the state tournament. The students worked throughout the season’s competitions to achieve this goal. 

“Students overcame numerous engineering and design challenges to get to this point and each individually showed tremendous growth,” technology teacher Jacob Sigerson said. “We are beyond proud of their accomplishments but even more proud to see how much they grew as engineers and young adults.”
