Shoreham-Wading River High School’s inaugural badminton tournament on March 10 featured dozens of students and staff members paired up in a series of ten-minute games to determine an overall champion team. The high school gymnasium was filled with spectators cheering on the competitors.

Senior Kerrin McGuire served as the announcer, expertly handling the mic while introducing the team members, stats and winners.

The final tournament champion team was science teacher Dana Schaefer and senior Ray Hidaka and the runner-up team was English teacher Brendan Gilley and senior Charles Pedersen.
