Fifty-six students participated in the Shoreham-Wading River Summer Music Institute, taking lessons on piano, guitar, voice, strings, band, jazz, and ukulele. The music faculty – James Finnerty, Thomas McClafferty, Kevin O'Brien, Ashley O'Connor and Fred Volz – worked with students throughout the month in individual and small group lessons at Prodell Middle School.

“This year’s summer music institute has been an incredible experience for our students here in Shoreham-Wading River,” said John Samonte, who coordinated the program this summer. “There are so many talented musicians who brought their passion and creativity to every lesson. It’s inspiring to see our students thrive and grow in such a short amount of time!”
