With so many academic opportunities, extra-curricular activities and events going on at Shoreham-Wading River High School, seven seniors represented their peers at Board of Education meetings during the 2023-24 school year. They were honored by Board of Education President Thomas Sheridan at the June 11 Board of Education meeting.

Seniors Shea Baran, Maya Beyersdorfer, Allisandra Sagat, Hannah Sagat, Emily Scherl, Megan Rayburn and Dongkai Zhang each served as ex-officio student school board members, alternating their attendance at the Board of Education meetings.

The Shoreham-Wading River School District is proud to recognize these students in this leadership role. They all are diligent, conscientious and highly inquisitive and care about their high school education and about leaving a positive impact on their school community.
