The Shoreham-Wading River Central School District congratulates seven Shoreham-Wading River High School students who were recognized by the New York State School Music Association.

Students Killian O’Reilly (symphony orchestra, cello), Lucas Portuese (symphonic band, double bass) and Robert Tacke (mixed chorus, bass 2) were selected to perform in the

All-State performing ensembles to take place in Rochester, New York, in December.

Students Yiya Hu (violin), Lee Minty (violin), James Minetti (viola) and Dongkai (Alex) Zhang (violin) were selected as alternates.

Their selections stem from evaluation scores and comments from the spring 2023 NYSSMA assessment, along with detailed teacher recommendations.
